Social Networking giants Twitter, Inc. recently announced the arrival of an updated version of their social networking app. for the BB10 platform. The new version comes as a much needed upgrade to the somewhat stale blackberry app.
The update's most notable feature is the Emoji Icon present in the Twit composer page( - as the awesome blackberry keyboard unfortunately lacks a smiley key, hopefully we get one in the about to be released BlackBerry OS 10.3.2) as can be seen in the screen-shot above.
Other notable features include:
View animated GIFS in Tweets
View embedded videos in Tweets
Mute functionality -Ability to stop displaying Tweets from selected users.
New look for Tweet composer
View web content in the application directly or in the browser (optional through Settings)
Hopefully we get to see newer features - like the ability to quote tweets with longer characters. Nice to know the Blackberry OS is not being totally ignored. Unlike the unfortunate Windows Phone scenario.
