Google announces "Project Ara" the phone that might just last forever

Well a couple of months ago (Over a year ago to be precise) when tech power house Google, Inc. announced that they had bought mobile phone manufacturing company Motorola - Yes those of you who still don't know, Google owns Motorola (Well Moto for short), a lot of you including yours truly wondered what in the world Google had in store for us... While a few of us also felt it was a wrong money-wasting step coupled with the fact that the Tech giants had already ventured into the mobile phone manufacturing business.

Once again Google has proven most of us wrong AGAIN! and have announced that through their mobile device branch Motorola, are in full support with Phonebloks - the ideas pioneer, and are set to develop a phone for the future, where you don't have to replace your phone just upgrade it's components.

Imagine a world where you can have a 3 year old phone and it will still be the latest., where you can upgrade or build - yes build, you mobile phone to suite you. you need a phone with a beta Camera, why change the whole phone, when you can replace the camera blok with one that has the specification you need.

First, the mobile phone, then the tablets, Laptops and so much more imagine what this can do for the future. Yes less waste, better planet and lots more.

Checkout the promotional video released by Phonebloks and how you can  be a part of this revolution after the cut.

Well it even gets better as it is their plan to do exactly what has been done to Andriod (software) to hardware by creating a free developers' committee where minds with bright ideas can add  to this revolution and stand a chance to get free samples of the finished product in a period of about 12 months.
